Turning to the inside shouldn’t damage your cleats. In fact, many cleats are designed to be used in either direction with one side providing more “float” than the other. I know mudhunny usually unclips by turning her feet inside and she’s been doing it that way for years!

I have a tough time turning my right ankle to the outside so I twist it to the inside to release. That wouldn’t damage the cleat right?
