A better way to switch sides is to pull the mirror off of the wire, and? then put it on the other way around. The mirror is drilled all the way through so that you can do this. You can find the Bike Peddler’s website by Googling Bike Peddler Greely, but it’s not all that good a website.

Sadly finding out after I’ve spent the money..this mirror is not truly left side efficient as the mirror likely is to be as the vision would be a vertical view rather than the broader horizontal . I would have preferred that they? mirror both sides or sell them side mount specific.

I just received my mirror from Amazon. Great video. I’m sure I would have figured it out, but watching it installed on your helmet made it a breeze! I took it on its maiden voyage to church this morning and it worked like a charm. No more veering into? the weeds as I look back over my shoulder.

@DiGiTaLdAzEDM I don’t know if Bike Peddler have a site. I have? also Googled it without luck. Sorry.

Could you tell me how to find the Bike Peddler site. I have googled it with no result. I am wondering which model would be best for me. I am very nearsighted (can’t drive) and am? thinking that the ‘compact’ might be better as it brings the mirror closer to my eyes.

Nice idea to? make a normal helmet look worse.
Doubt they fit on my downhill fullface helmet anyway.

Tim, we have the longer version. I think it’s a bit easier to focus on, but I’ve never tried the shorter version. The one? we bought is the only one REI sells, which I guess says something as well.

don’t know if I should order the longer, original one or not. Or the short one. What do you recommened? Wish I saw you mount it on eye ( sun glasses )
please write;? ( pilotfire at sbcglobal dot net ) you understand, thanks, firefighter tim andrew, naugatuck, Ct

i had the same mirror purchased from USA; i am in UK

Very helpful thankyou deb from Australia?
Comment by cheekyricho — February 18, 2012 @ 2:21 am
Is this mirror adjustable?
So easy – even this ‘expert’ can fit it. lol! By the way, there are easier and safer techniques to trim the end of the rubber bar grips – in fact this dude was lazy and ended up with? an amateur rough edge finish .. not good! It’s better to make a neat hole, same diameter as the handle-bar end, then the rubber lip will more effectively seal against the Mirror-cycle fitting and won’t allow rain to work its way into the handle-bar end and start rusting components.

Thanks? dude, very helpful.

I bought this mirror in March 2011. Two out of the three screws included will not go into the sleeves. I even bought another mirror and same thing. For a great product this is crap. I’ve even been to Home Depot twice to get different screws. No luck. I also just recently bought a Bell rear bike cargo rack and every screw and? nut will not go on. Just to warn everyone. I think the Chinese factories are doing this on purpose. Two out of two products is not a fluke. Great video here also.

Thanks for the instructions…..just bought it and needed to see how it went in.
I was struggling to get the big wedge inside the handle bars, but after seeing your video, I realized the smaller one would? sort of expand inside the handlebar

The mirror part breaks easily when the bike is dropped, even if it is set loosely to move on impact. It’s also a heavy part for a light? bike.

Are they indicators on the? front handlebars of your bike? (right in middle.)

After spending some good time researching a bike mirror (mainly on Amazon) I kept coming back to this one. It seemed to be the best reviewed and the most recommended by the consumers online, as well as the merchants at my local bike shops. And now having seen your video on the install and just how well-suited this mirror is for any bike, I know I’ve picked the right one. ? Shipped out today, should be at my doorstep by Wednesday. I can’t wait!
